You can prevent runner’s knee before pain begins. Avoid over-training. Increase your weekly running mileage by 10 percent and recover for a week occasionally with less mileage and lower intensity. Stretch after exercising or try incorporating yoga to maintain flexibility. Keep the muscles around the knee strong with squats, lunges, and step-ups.

4. Are your hips wide?

2. Avoid walking and running stairs and slopes
3. Limit knee-bending as much as possible
4. Apply ice to the area for ten minutes
5. Stretch the hamstrings and calves

7. Begin Muscle Stripping treatment
8. Consider wearing orthotics
